andrea salzman aquatic therapy queen mumHi Musculoskeletals,

My name is Andrea Salzman and I am the instructor for your upcoming aquatics course. I am very much looking forward to meeting (and remeeting!) all of you August 19-20 for “Water-Based Interventions for the Musculoskeletal Client".

Dress in comfortable layers for the classroom so you can adjust your temperature for personal comfort. I always think it's slightly warm (presenting) but everyone has their own thermostat.

You are going to love the class. Plan on being exhausted and excited about your chosen occupations once again…

Andrea

What to bring:

  • A NEW flash or USB drive (if you want a color copy of the lab illustrations and copies of research). Put your name on the drive. It must be new so it is virus-free. I will collect them on Saturday and give them back on Sunday. Otherwise, bring $15 cash; we will have a very limited supply of new 8 GB drives available.
  • A swim suit (work-appropriate) and a pair of shorts that can get wet
  • At least two (2) BIG towels (one that will get wet). You will need 1 towel to go in the pool to learn the newest Salzman Blanket Drills.
  • Two (2) items of clothing that you can take into the pool
(examples include an old running shirt, runner's tights, leggings, biker's shorts, sport's bra)
  • If you have special dietary needs, bring food as needed
Lunch and snacks (AM and PM) will be provided, but you never know when it will not work for your needs
  • A checkbook or credit card if you want to buy books and DVD on discount
  • If you have any questions, please leave a comment

Brea, CA Apr 20-21 (Musculo)

Think of this as The Appetizer Sampler of Aquatic Therapy seminars. You will be exposed to most of the popular aquatic techniques currently being used in clinics across the globe -- and learn 2 or 3 new ones. Why sit through boring lecture on theory? Instead, get in the water and learn hands-on handling techniques that will leave you with new, concrete skills and the confidence to apply them to your musculoskeletal and neurological patients. And you’ll have a blast doing it.
